This is an excerpt from my student profile questionnaire while I was attending Mesmer animation labs:

What sparked your interest in Computer Graphics?

I am an innately artistic person with a scientific vision of the future. It is my goal to marry these two interests together. I would like to animate the future applications of nanotechnology in as much of a technical and beautiful way as possible. As an artistic person, and a cyber geek, it was natural for me to want to learn 3d animation. 3D animation is a bridge between reality and virtual realty, for me it is right now, as real as an artist can get. When I attend nanotech conferences, it is often the visuals that seem to get people excited. Sight is powerful. 3 dimensional animation is a way to truly demonstrate to some one an idea or a design because it is based in the same dimensions that the viewer lives in. I love computers (except blue screen!), and I love the possibilities that they provide.
