Kaleidoscope - I had become quite intrigued by one of the Hummer television commercials and wrote a small blip about how the piece might have been achieved on my animation blog here. I was playing around in Combustion today and I figured out how to do it. I imported my .jpg and added a mirror operator, tweaked the settings and then added a second mirror operator on top of the first mirror half way through the last part of the timeline. I then pulled this rendered footage into Vegas, slowed down the end sequence, added a Venetian blind transition and music. Here is the result. When you're done looking at the full animation - it might be fun to watch it again but this time by dragging the play button very slowly with your mouse so that you can see how truly interesting some of these frames are!
