Half butterfly and half fractal! This image was created while I was working on something else (it always feels like such an 'extra bonus' when that happens).

I invite you to comment on theis image at my arts & animation blog here.

Butterfrac By Gina Miller

I was spending the day creating some background textures for other artists, when this just sort of "happened" in the process. I painted on the center line and the two antennas, but that's it! Everything else I generated by accident (if you can call it that, how about a by product?) while changing my settings in the creation of a fractal background, the butterfly came crying out, it was undeniable!

Image tip: if you click enlarged images and they do not appear enlarged, if you have Windows XP, hover your mouse over the very bottom right corner of the image until you see a small square pop up that says "expand to regular size"click that and the image will enlarge.

Scroll down to see the larger version of the image or click on the image itself.
